I was able to register via web, get email, and now I'm responding.
The fix was to correct the DMARC rules to allow subdomains to send email.

Good. Now I am trying to remove the footer.
Which seems to have worked. Keeping the body and the Subject header in
tact (not adding any [tags]) will help keeping dkim signatures valid.
