Meta-question: do people think we should formalize the drafting
and
approval process for blog posts and statements written in the
name of
the whole assembly? Do you have ideas on how to do that? Or do
you
think it’s OK to keep an informal process like we did for the
time
being?
Since I contributed to this statement I’m obviously okay with what
ended up being published, but I noticed that only few of us
contributed (via comments on the issues before the first draft or
via comments and edits since the first draft).
For this statement I find it acceptable because it clarifies what
was published earlier, but the same situation would probably not
be so good for statements that are bolder.
I can’t say I’d like to have a more formal process, but I would
very much like to know for sure that the silent members of the
assembly are consenting to the publication.
